Amazon's new Echo Present comes with a motorized vortex

In addition to the announcement of the new Amazon Echo and Echo Dot, Amazon also got the brand new Echo Show under control. For strangers, the Echo Show is an Alexa-enabled smart display that offers all the functions you can expect from an Alexa-enabled device. The added benefit is that you have a display that you can use to watch videos.

What has changed compared to the previous version? The new Echo Show now comes with a motorized rotating base. This means that the smart display can now track the user and automatically rotate on its base so that the display is always facing the user. This can be useful in the kitchen when searching for ingredients while watching a recipe video or when making a video call and moving around.

If you're concerned about privacy, Amazon points out that the Echo Show's recognition isn't based on faces, but rather human figures. Plus, all of the AI processing required to make these discoveries is done on the device itself rather than in the cloud, so you don't have to worry about Amazon storing them on the servers.

Users who are still concerned about this can turn off the motion tracking feature anytime they want. There is also a built-in mechanical lock that allows users to block access to the camera for added privacy. The new Echo Show costs $ 250 and is expected to be released in time for the holidays.
