Apple Watch Sequence 6 Introduced With Blood Oxygen Monitoring
Apple has announced their latest Apple Watch in the form of Series 6. As per the rumors, it seems that Apple has not updated the design of the Apple Watch, but it seems that the selling point of the Series 6 would be the introduction of a blood oxygen monitor that helps you keep track of your respiratory health.
For those wondering about the importance of blood oxygen levels, like we said, it is an indicator of your overall respiratory health where depending on the levels, it can tell whether or not your body is getting enough oxygen, and how well that oxygen is distributed throughout your body. In fact, Apple has also announced that they will be partnering with various health organizations to study the benefits of early detection of potential blood oxygen level issues.
In addition to the blood oxygen monitoring feature, the Series 6 will also feature an upgrade to its always-on display, where it will be 2.5 times brighter than its predecessor. There will also be an always-on altimeter for those who want to measure their elevation levels. Under the hood, the Series 6 will be powered by an Apple Silicon which is based on the A13 Bionic chipset where Apple claims it will be twice as fast as its predecessor.
The Apple Watch Series 6 will be priced starting at $399 and will be available in several different finishes. This includes a brand new blue aluminum case, a PRODUCT(RED) finish, as well as gold stainless steel, and black stainless steel that Apple is calling Graphite. There will also be the introduction of a new band called the Solo Loop. This is made from liquid silicone and has been designed to be stretchable and will not require a buckle or a clasp.
