Color Pop Splendore Lux Liquid Lip & Gloss Duo ($ 15.00 for 0.31 oz.) Contains a lighter, peach-colored liquid lipstick with a sheer, yellowish-peach sheen. The shine performed well – comfortable to wear, slightly moisturizing, didn't stand out in lip lines – as long as you enjoy sheer coverage. The liquid lipstick could have been more evenly applied, although it had a more mediocre, buildable pigmentation on the market (which it usually doesn't!).

Ingenue is a muted, lighter peach coral with moderate, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish that later dried to a softer, matte finish (approximately an hour after wearing). The texture was light, thin, and had a lot of slippage, and that extra slippage made it harder to apply streak-free, especially along the edges. It had medium buildable pigmentation that was as available in the market and lasted decently for four hours.

Formula overview

$ 8.00 / 0.17 oz. – – $ 47.06 per ounce

The formula is intended to have a "medium buildable cover" that has a "soft, diffuse" effect. It is a reinforced version of the Blotted Lips concept or a slightly "washed out" version of the Ultra Matte / Ultra Satin range. The formula is much thinner – almost weightless – and spreads evenly with a single layer. I would argue that most of the shades were often semi-opaque rather than medium-sized and buildable – and I only used what was on the doe-foot applicator to apply to both the upper and lower lips (without adding any more back go).

The consistency was airier, lighter, thinner, and spreadable with a soft dryness that didn't feel fully enclosed (like Ultra Mattes) but had significantly less transfer than a traditional lipstick (or even the Ulta Satins). They weren't the most forgiving lip texture or lip line, but they were more flattering than most of the formulas I've tried that are similar in effect and coverage. Some shades had more of a matte finish shortly after being applied, while others had a subtle sheen that fell off to a matte finish within an hour or less.

The lifespan was anywhere from three to six hours with some hues leaving subtle stains, and for the most part the formula didn't feel drying to me. It had a sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Renaissance is a light, yellowed peach base with multicolored micro-glitter. It had sheer color coverage in a single layer while the texture was light, smooth, and comfortable to apply and wear. It forgave my lip lines / texture and while it was a milky shade it applied pretty well. It lasted three hours and felt slightly moisturizing over time.

Formula overview

$ 8.00 / 0.16 oz. – – $ 50.00 per ounce

The formula is said to have "shine" with a "pillow-soft" texture that "moisturizes the lips". The brand is not clear on how pigmented or how pure the formula should be. Instead, they have the "perfect amount of color in one". Based on what I can deduce from promotional images, their marketing and typical lip gloss claims (in the industry), gloss is usually a transparent cover rather than an opaque cover. Based on this, I will evaluate the expectation of medium coverage.

The formula has a smooth consistency that is more like a gel cream in that it feels denser ("pillow-like") without being heavy or sticky. I didn't feel like they were the most forgiving, however, as most of the shades settled in my lip lines to a small extent. The cover was purely to semi-transparent, which meant that the color tones looked more similar than in the tubes (the initial set-up could therefore have been much more diverse). They lasted between two and three hours and were moisturizing to wear.

No taste was apparent and they had a sweet, sugary smell.
