Dell simply launched a 40-inch ultrawide curved monitor
Monitors come in different shapes and sizes. Nowadays, ultra-wide monitors are becoming increasingly popular. If you're looking for a similar setup, you might be interested to know that Dell has now announced the latest monitor to be added to its lineup – a 40-inch ultrawide curved display.
Thanks to its extremely wide form factor, this particular display has a slightly higher resolution than normal, which one can expect from a 4K display. The resolution is an impressive 5,120 x 2,160, which means that it offers up to 33% more screen real estate than a typical 16: 9 4K display.
The monitor has a response time of 5 ms and a refresh rate of 60 Hz, which is usually more than sufficient for most applications. For gamers, this might be a little "slow" but as mentioned earlier, it is still more than functional and can be used about anything. Dell also offers features such as "true to life" colors and a variety of connectivity options.
This includes your standard HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, and Thunderbolt 3, which can be used to charge devices like laptops, USB-C, and a range of USB upstream and downstream ports at 90W. Even so, its size and features won't make it cheap. Dell's 40-inch 4K ultra-wide curved display will be available on January 28 and will be priced at $ 2,100.
