Google launches its second generation Nest Hub with sleep tracking

The Google Nest series of smart devices range from smart speakers to smart displays. If you’re looking for something in the latter category, you might be interested to know that Google actually announced an update to its Nest Hub range, which has since featured the second generation Nest Hub.

The device has had a facelift where it comes in a variety of colors that you can choose from to better complement the space. Google also made some under-the-hood tweaks where the company’s second-generation Nest Hub has 50% more bass than the original, according to the company. So if you think the original model sounds a little too thin, hopefully this helps make it sound fuller.

It also supports air gestures so you can command it and pause / play music just by waving your hands in front of it. It even comes with health tracking features like a sleep tracker. It uses Google’s Soli radar detection technology to track your movements in bed and determine how restful (or restless) your sleep is.

It can detect things like coughing, snoring, changes in light and temperature, and more, so you can have a better idea of how your sleep has been affected and what you may need to do to change it. The new, second-generation Nest Hub is priced at $ 100 and is available for pre-order starting today.
