LG’s rollable television has found its way to the United States

A few years ago, LG introduced its rollable OLED TV at CES 2019. It’s an interesting and amazing technology. If you introduce yourself as an early adopter, you might be curious to see the TV found its way along with where to buy it.

This was originally discovered by HD Guru who discovered a link to “Inquire to Buy” on the LG website. Clicking this will give users contact information for a local sales representative. There’s no mention of how much the LG OLED R will cost, but the last time we heard it was priced at KRW 100 million at the time of sale in South Korea, which is roughly in the range of $ 90,000 after the remodel.

Basically, it won’t come cheap and will likely only appeal to those with deep pockets. We envision LG likely not expecting the OLED R to become a mainstream product, but rather a showcase of their technology for future televisions. The interesting thing is that LG should apply its rollable OLED technology to future smartphones.

The company was annoyed earlier this year that they were going to launch such a smartphone, but now that they are leaving the smartphone business, it looks like this is no longer going to happen.
