Samsung is reportedly planning two smartwatches this year

Not a fan of the Apple Watch but still want a smartwatch for health or general purposes? Then you might be interested to learn that Samsung might actually have two smartwatches slated to hit the market this year. It is rumored that this is happening in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Active.

This isn’t actually the first time we’ve heard of Samsung’s smartwatch plans. Back in December, it was reported that one of the key features of the Samsung Galaxy Watch is that it could come with a non-invasive method of measuring blood sugar levels. This is a feature that companies like Apple have reportedly been working on for years, but it hasn’t been released yet.

Such a feature comes in handy for those who want to better keep track of their health, especially diabetics who may need to check blood sugar levels during the day. Current measurement methods include taking blood, which is not very hygienic on the go. A non-invasive method like a smartwatch would therefore be immensely helpful.

According to the tweet, Samsung will most likely announce these smartwatches in the second quarter of the year. So we have to wait at least a month before we can find out more details about it.
