Sonos Roam Portable Speaker announced

When it comes to wireless audio playback, Sonos is no stranger to the concept. In fact, the company made a name for itself because it can wirelessly stream audio from streaming services like Spotify. However, if you are looking for a truly portable speaker in the market, Sonos is the one for you.

The company recently got to grips with its newest speaker, the Sonos Roam. As you can see in the photo, this speaker is designed in the same veins as other portable bluetooth speakers. It is relatively small and compact and can be easily stowed in your pocket. It supports both WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, with the latter being used on the go and the former being used at home.

As expected from a Sonos speaker, it will have support for direct streaming from various streaming services, it will also work well with various digital assistants, and there is also AirPlay 2 support for iOS users. The Roam offers up to 10 hours of continuous playback and is rated IP67. This means that it can withstand some water and can be used outdoors while camping or hiking.

The Sonos Roam will be released on April 20th and will cost £ 159. There will also be a magnetic wireless charger available separately in case you are interested in wireless charging.
